Large corporate away days and large team building days are one of our specialties. If you’re sick of doing the same old activities then our activity centre may have more exciting options for you! We specialise in large groups as well as stag and hen parties, and school groups too!

Ridgeway Adventures is Oxfordshire’s newest and biggest activity centre. Set within a beautiful rustic barn we offer a range of fun filled target sports and adventure activities. Over the course of the last 2 years we have gained over 300 five star reviews as well as winning 2 Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards (2022, 2023) a Luxury Travel Guide Award (2022/23) and a Prestige Business Award (2024/25) as well as having been featured in the Guardian and the Observer.

Our activities:

Axe & Knife Throwing

Axe and knife throwing have become some of the UKs fastest growing sports in recent years, at Ridgeway Adventures our axe throwing range is Oxfordshire’s only year round axe throwing centre. On site you can try throwing specially designed throwing tomahawks, training throwing angels, and professional throwing knives. All blunted for maximum safety. Our instructors are on hand to provide safety briefings and to coach you through the technique of the throw and learning to control the rotation of blades through the air, even providing opportunities for trick shots and competition.

Archery & Crossbow shooting

As one of Oxfordshire’s only permanent archery centres we give archers of all experience a chance to learn and improve. Our archery instructors and coaches are specially trained to provide maximum safety, technique advice as well as facilitating some fun challenges and games during a session. Our 10 metre have a go range is perfect for complete beginners and those with more experience. For those wanting to try something different our target archery sessions have the option of an added crossbow taster, giving shooters the chance to try a more powerful tool with our pistol crossbows.

And/or Archery Tag

For larger groups there is the option of choosing archery tag, rather than target shooting. Combat archery or tag archery is a sport that combines archery and dodgeball, with the use of specialist foam tipped arrows and safety equipment, arm guards and helmets, participants can safely shoot one another! So you can live out your best medieval fantasies of being an archer in a combat setting. The game is played as a head to head between two teams, eliminating oppositions players by successfully shooting them. Perfect for team building or large group parties.

Airsoft Shooting

Our airsoft shooting gallery allows participants to shoot guns with maximum safety, we use airsoft pistols, an electric powered motor fuels these bb guns, across a session participants get to test their aim, shooting fun objects like fairground style tin cans, themed paper targets, concluding sessions with our state of the art AttackSense smart targets. These electric targets analyse shooting accuracy, reaction times, and they light up with different colours allowing participants to play games and enact battle scenarios, like hostage rescues and head to head duels.

Lasermaze: Heist experience

Our laser maze is one of only 6 in the UK. A laser maze is a recreation of a security system that you may be familiar with from action films like Mission Impossible, Oceans, and Entrapment, participants are in a room that is filled with lasers, they must navigate, bend, and twist their way through the maze of beams, avoiding touching the lasers, but if they do they will set off the alarm before they can steal the valuables at the end of the room! Our maze comes with some fun additional challenges, most notably the handcuff challenge where participants must work together to complete the maze attached to their team mate, or the blindfold challenge where players will have to communicate to help one person to get through the maze without being able to see where they’re going!

Prices

Sessions are £25 per person

• For an additional £5 per person you can add knife throwing to an axe throwing session or crossbow shooting to an archery session

• One activity (1 hour) £25 per person

• Two activities (2 hours) £40 per person

• Three activities (3 hours) £50 per person

For larger groups of 50+ people (up to around 100+ people) we can accommodate a ‘have a go’ session, where multiple activities are on offer so participants can pick and choose between activities whilst having food and drink in different break out spaces.

Whilst we do not provide food and drink this can be arranged with one of our catering partners. From finger food and sandwiches, to bbqs, fish and chips, we can arrange third party caterers to provide.

For very large groups over 100+ we may be able to accommodate a larger team day on our campsite with our bouncy castle, adventure activities as well as additional activities from our partners.
